I love seeing all the ideas.. I keep a text file with a list. When I’m ready to post I go to the shop and add the links then just copy/paste to the galleries. Just recently I starting writing the list using the notes feature in photoshop. When finished copy/paste to text file. I save the file with the layout for future reference.

I loved this post! I have struggled with keeping track of the credits for my layouts. I tend pull items from all over my collection for a layout. I’m giddy with excitement to try a few of these techniques and decide my favorite. Thank you Sarah!

  • I too drag my items into PSE via Finder or more recently Lightroom. That way each layer has the title of the element.

Finally I use Christy Vanderwall’s FREE action, Supply Tracker, edit the superfluous items (e.g. paper, add text here etc) and copy that final list of credits into File Info for the layout. I also put a copy of the file info into a Text File along with any journaling for posting on line. Works for me!

    • I just wanted to post a link to the action that Maureen is referring to in her reply, because I know a lot of people use (and love) that free script. You can find it on the SpeedScraps blog, along with a bunch of other handy scripts.
