New Release | Worn

I’m really excited about this collaboration, and based on the reaction to the preview I posted earlier this week it seems as though many of you are, too.

I think that I took Krista Sahlin ( blog | store ) a bit out of her comfort zone on this one – as a matter of fact, I know that I did, because she mentioned it a couple of times. No stranger to color, Krista had never tackled a completely neutral product before, but she wasn’t about to back down from a challenge.

“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

I saw this quote and it resonated with me on both a philosophical and a physical level. I love new, shiny things as much as the next person – new toys, new experiences, new friends. But the time-worn and tattered bits of my life are often where the love lives. It’s what compels me to pull out the old, dented and battered cake pan from my grandmother every time instead of the bright and shiny one I received as a gift a few years ago. Memories live in that old one, and everything just tastes better when it comes out of it.

So whether it’s your child’s favorite old beat-up stuffed animal, a relationship that has withstood the test of time, or an heirloom passed down through your family over the generations – I hope this product inspires you to document the things that you treasure the most – imperfections and all.

I’m thrilled to announce that Worn, a collaboration with Sahlin Studio, is now available for purchase in my store and at The Lilypad.

WOW-I can close my gaping mouth now I guess. Wow is all I can say really.. this one just blew me away. It’s AMAZING Peppermint. I just realized it’s all the colors of the rooms in my house – no wonder I like it so much, it’s everything I love – little flowers, tidbits of info, beautiful soothing colors. Just so inviting and warm. I *really* really love this (have I said that yet?) oh my gosh I do!

I really don’t get so excited about scrapbook kits but I just gasped when I saw this one in my email! I may have to scrap now. I just hope I can do it justice!

    • Haha, there’s no hair-pulling between the two of us (yet!) so you can feel free to buy from either store.

  • That quote is wonderful and really hit home in a lot of ways. And the kit is GORGEOUS, I just bought it (thanks the the GWP Clusters btw!!) and cannot wait to use it over the next couple weeks. I find myself using a lot of your kits again and again, and can tell this one will be no different!

You’ve done it once again, I think this is my favorite OLB sets. And when I heard it was a colab with Sahlin Studios, I knew it was going to be great. I sooooo love the glassine envelope. I’m digi happy and won’t get much work done today and it’s you’re fault! Aren’t you happy? LOL

    • I love the glassine envelope, too. I like “stuff” to put other “stuff” into.

I get Krista’s newsletter and I bought it the moment I saw it. Gorgeous! I’m just dipping my toes into digi scrapping. I want to do a wedding photo book for my neice and I think some of these papers will be just the thing. Wish me luck…
