New Release | Mom Speak

There are certain things I say now that I swore I never would. In my idealistic years (being the ones BEFORE I had a child) I told myself that I would never use a vague statement like “because I said so,” but eventually parenthood beat all the fight out of me – and now “because I said so” is a staple phrase in this house. I had a great time making these. From time to time Nicholas would walk in here and peer over my shoulder and nod, knowingly. I started them a couple of weeks ago, and as the days went by I kept adding more and more phrases as I said them.
