Vagabond

It all started with some suitcases really. A single stack of suitcases that I drew as a logo for my mom’s Etsy store – and from there I got lost in creativity. It’s not very often that I can finish an entire kit in just a couple of days but I could not tear myself away from this one.

Maybe it’s Cabin Fever, since I haven’t actually GONE anywhere in months? Maybe it has something to do with all of the House Hunters: International episodes I’ve been watching (Do you watch that? It’s a real eye opener!) But really I think it all comes back to that little stack of suitcases and all the potential they have. Oh the places I could go with a stack of suitcases and a couple of round-trip tickets!

I actually asked you all to tell me where YOU would go on a quick getaway if money were no object, but we’ll talk about that in just a minute. Right now I have some new stuff to debut!

Vagabond is not just for the grand, elaborate vacations. It’s perfect for wherever the soul wanders, whether it’s an afternoon train ride with the kids or a trip to visit family for the weekend. The whole point is to document all of those moments where you wander a little.

The lovely and talented Crystal Livesay made a few Tale Feathers for you, too! Tale Feathers are Quick Pages in PNG format. You just drop your pictures behind them, add any journaling or extra embellishments to the top and you have a beautiful page in no time flat.

Giveaway Winner

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share their vacation dreams with me – it was a nice little imaginary world tour for me. I even ran a few searches on Expedia to find out more about a few of them. There were a wide variety of responses, but a few that kept popping up over and over again, as you can see by their prominence below.

I would just like to let all of you know that I am 100% willing to go to ANY of these places with you, so should you suddenly find yourself the winner of an all-expense paid trip for two to your dream location … call me, k? Sure, you could go with your spouse or a member of your family – but why? Break from tradition! Someone probably has to stay home and watch the kids or feed the dog anyway, right?

To be clear, you just won the Vagabond Kit, not the vacation you specified. Haha. Don’t send me hate mail because you thought I was shipping you off to New York City. I don’t run that sort of operation. Although there’s nothing I’d love more than to be able to hand out fabulous getaways to people. I’d like to give Oprah a run for her money.
