Feeling Grateful | 1.8.11

… for hot showers in the bitter cooooooold of a Midwestern winter, because they’re often the only period of time in the entire day that I feel warm. Now if only my water heater could handle a four hour shower, we’d be set!

… for a new job for my brother-in-law, even though it means my sister and her kids will be moving even further away – but at least it’s to somewhere warmer, which means lots of potential winter getaways for us!

… for new episodes of all my favorite shows again, because I was starting to get those ever-so-painful withdrawal symptoms.

… for a sunny day today after a long week of gray skies that left me feeling as though all I wanted to do was sleep. I was definitely built for warmer climates. Maybe one day I’ll actually live in one?

… for easy, go-to recipes for weekday dinners like Spaghetti with Artichoke Hearts and Tomatoes from The Pioneer Woman – I keep the ingredients for this dish on hand at all times, and it saves my bacon on busy weeknights more often than I care to admit. Plus it’s delicious!
