I’ll start off by saying that I was in LOVE with all the comments on my giveaway. So many of you shared your own experiences, in childhood and adulthood, that revolved around a love of reading.
One of my favorites, by SusanL:
“My favourite childhood memory is of unexpectedly meeting my father when I was walking home from school. I was about 5 (way back in the distant past before cars were invented), and he was on the way to the library. He took me along and signed me up for my library card. The first book I took out was Mrs Tiggywinkle by Beatrix Potter. And that was it – the start of a lifelong love affair.”
And there were several of you who shared that you haven’t quite talked yourself into taking the plunge into an eReader because you would miss the actual feel of a book in your hands while reading – which is something I completely understand because I had the same concern. I do still pick up the occasional hardcover book, and I’m no stranger to the library, because there really is something about holding a physical book in your hands that’s comforting and familiar.
That being said, there’s also something about being able to read a really trashy, sappy chick book in the middle of a crowded waiting room without anyone knowing. Haha.
But let’s get to the good stuff, shall we?
Page Turner is now available in my store! And it’s 20% off through Sunday, no coupons necessary. I’d love to see what you create with it so make sure to post it in my gallery at Oscraps so I can sneak a peek.
