Ok, so my Formspring.me box on the side of my site has been taking questions from all of you but it was not sending the emails like it was supposed to. Today I got a notification email from them and went to sign in and answer it and found that I have 15 messages in my inbox. ACK!
So I thought I’d sit down and answer them, but right now the entire service is acting like a bit of a PITA and keeps having errors. I apologize for not answering your questions – probably makes me seem like a big jerk, doesn’t it? I’ll answer them here and hope that the services goes back up later so I can add the answers in there, also.
Q: What font did you use for the word “inspiration” in your most recent post? I LOVE your new kit, too!
A: This question was actually asked multiple times. The font is “Miss Fitzpatrick” and you can pick it up at MyFonts.com here: http://new.myfonts.com/search/Miss+Fitzpatrick/fonts/
Q: I can’t find your products at catscrap? Where do you sell them now?
A: I’ve joined the wonderful team of designers over at OScraps now – come check me out!
Q: I NEED your TOU…. please tell me you are S4H??? Or open to licenses???
A: Currently all of my products are for personal use only and can’t be used in any manner that generates revenue. I don’t have a S4H/S4O license available at this time and I’d honestly have to ask around and find out more about what that would entail. I’ll check into it, though!
Q: I’m a new fan… love all your new things on oscraps. I was wondering if I could ask what font you used with that cute bubble pic in the yellow tape frame? I love it!!!
A: That is my MOST used handwritten journaling type font, Pea Devon from www.kevinandamanda.com. I love this font, I abuse and overuse this font. What I really love about it is that even at 12pt it’s still really easy to read. It’s a magic font!
Q: What’s your favorite food to cook simply because you enjoy the part of getting to eat it afterwards?
A: This is a new favorite and I keep telling everyone I know about this recipe because it’s so easy (20 minutes?) and SO good: Spaghetti with Artichoke Hearts and Tomatoes by Pioneer Woman. You should make some right now! I’ve tinkered with this recipe a half-dozen different ways, too. Like the other day we purchased some really beautiful asparagus spears down at our local farmer’s market so I added those to the mix and then served the entire thing over lobster ravioli. There’s really no way you can go wrong, swap out the pastas, add different veggies – it’s a 4-star recipe every way I’ve tried it.
Q: How did you get the name Peppermint? Were your parents hippies? Ice cream lovers? What’s the story??
A: My parents were not hippies – my mom is one of the squarest people you’ll ever meet, actually. She’s never smoked in her life, she drinks “cocktails” and she uses cloth napkins at dinner. I have an older sister named Cynnamon and with a name like that they had to name the second child something unique, too. It was my paternal grandmother who suggested Peppermint, from what was written in my baby book. If I had been a boy I would have been Travis – so a Y chromosome apparently earns you a ticket to a mainstream name.
Those of you who asked me specific questions, I’ll be emailing you as soon as I get the chance!
