Another Contest & Additions to The Flock
It’s been a busy two weeks, but I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot. A lot of online things, at least – the rest of my life looks like a bomb went off. I’d like to say that I’m going to kick up my heels and rest on my laurels for a little bit – but I’m not! Because next Thursday, April 1st, I will be joining another scrapbooking store as their guest for one month. You can run but you can’t hide from me, folks. I’m going to get you no matter where you are!
Rather than come right out and say where it is, though, I thought it would be more fun to run another contest because everyone likes to win a little bit of loot. So it’s time to play:
I’ll give you a little bit of a hint. Over 20 designers call this store home, with an eclectic mix of everything from traditional to altered art to fantasy. That’s all you get, it won’t be fun for you if it’s not challenging! You’ll have until midnight EST on Monday, March 29th, to guess the name of the store down in the comments below. Update: You’ll have until 2pm EST on Sunday, March 28th to guess the name of the store down in the comments below. (I just received word the store might be opening early!) Everyone who guesses correctly will have their name thrown into a virtual hat and the handy dandy random number generator will pick 3 winners who will get my April 1st releases for FREE. :: gasps of shock ::
Comments are CLOSED – thanks for playing everyone! Winners will be announced tomorrow morning.
Here’s a little sneak peek of the kit that you’re playing for.

In other news, my Creative Team Call ended earlier this week and I was really flattered and humbled by the applications of all those who were interested in joining us. It’s a process I’m not keen on going through again so I’ll be saving everyone’s emails and perhaps calling upon them at a later date, hoping they haven’t decided that I suck by then. I spent a day or two whittling down the applications based on several different things – i.e. the current CT commitments, the “energy” their application gave off, how frequently they seem to be creating, etc. As well, it was important to me to have a few girls on the list who are relatively new to digital scrapbooking – because someone gave me my first chance and I grew so much as a scrapper and truly became a part of the community once I had the safety of numbers. After everything was said and done I unleashed my current Flock on the remaining applicants and let them have a say in choosing their future team members, because we have a lot of unbridled fun backstage at One Little Bird and there are a lot of very strong and hilarious personalities. It’s extremely important to me that we maintain that because hanging out with these women is the highlight of most of my days, truly.
The emails have all gone out (if you didn’t get one, check your junk filter!) and the “fresh poultry” has all been properly initiated behind-the-scenes in what we call “The Cage”. I added everyone, the oldies and the newbies, to the site under the tab labeled “The Flock” in the top menu. I never properly announced my initial Creative Team, so for the sake of this announcement let’s just consider them all new! But from the Creative Team Call we added:
Audrey Neal
Jenni Cremata
Leslie Coltrain
Sarah Hirst
Alisa Vongphakdy
Dana Attlan
Kelly Schmidt
Som Chea
Michelle
You can check out all their personal “deets” on The Flock page, visit their galleries and stalk their blogs and Facebook pages. All the fun stuff. I look forward to showcasing the work of my entire Creative Team here in the months to come because they truly blow my mind with their creativity, although I try not to tell them that too often so they don’t get big egos. So check them out, because they have low self-esteems and could use the encouragement. Haha. (I kid! I kid!)
Don’t forget to guess the store! Free product, yo! Don’t let it pass you by!
